  19. Description of Working Group:
  20. The OSPF Working Group will develop and field test an SPF-based
  21. Internal Gateway Protocol.  The specification will be published and
  22. written in such a way so as to encourage multiple vendor
  23. implementations.

  25.  Goals and Milestones:

  27.      Done Design the routing protocol, and write its specification.            
  28.  
  29.      Done Develop multiple implementations, and test against each other.       
  30.  
  31.      Done Obtain performance data for the protocol.                            
  32.  
  33.      Done Make changes to the specification (if necessary) and publish the 
  34.           protocol as a Draft Standard RFC.                                    
  35.  
  36.           Gather operational experience with the OSPF protocol and submit the  
  37.           document as a Standard.
